Yearbook Submissions

The Goethe Yearbook invites submissions in English or German on Goethe, his works, his contemporaries, or the period 1750-1832 in general. We particularly welcome submissions that reflect the entire spectrum of the field and encourage a broad and diverse range of approaches. The Goethe Yearbook is a double-blind, peer-reviewed publication, widely indexed, and published with DOIs.

All articles are available upon publication in project MUSE, along with archives of the journal. We accept submissions on an ongoing basis. All manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word in accordance with the Yearbook’s style sheet and anonymized for review. Manuscript submissions should be no longer than 8,500 words.

The Goethe Yearbook publishes only original work. By submitting manuscripts prospective authors confirm that the manuscript has not been published before and is not under consideration elsewhere. Inquiries or manuscripts should be directed to both editors, Sarah Eldridge (seldrid2[at]utk.edu) and Eleanor ter Horst (eterhorst[at]southalabama.edu). Mails sent to editors@goethesociety.org reaches both.

Books for review should be sent to the Book Review Editor, Professor Joseph D. O’Neil, Department of GRAMELAC, Miami University, Irvin Hall 170, 400 E. Spring St., Oxford, OH 45056 (via e-mail: oneiljd[at]miamioh.edu).
